I’ve been able to develop qualities such as patience, organisation and perseverance, particularly during my many participations in bird counts and fauna and flora inventories (data entry). After my studies, I’d like to work in bird and ecosystem protection. I’ve been working for 2 years as a volunteer in a bird protection association, which has given me a lot of hands-on experience. I very quickly had to learn to recognise species by flight and song, which enables me to help out with voluntary work.\u00a0 \u00a0 In addition, a three-month work placement in the Hoge Veluwe nature park in the Netherlands helped to improve my skills and knowledge of ecology. I was given a wide range of tasks, including identifying plant and animal species, collecting data in the field by taking soil and vegetation samples, and monitoring DNA analyses on wolves to take part in national research for the park. Despite the Dutch language barrier, I was able to take part in a lot of research that helped me to progress, reinforcing my desire to pursue this profession."}
