Studies show that climate change has a considerable influence on migration. In fact, we have observed that wintering areas, water reserves and food supplies are being affected. What’s more, cranes are changing their behaviour towards other cranes. Nesting habitats and phenological changes (weather) have also been observed.\u00a0<\/p>

After decades of monitoring crane species on the border between Canada and the United States, and in Western Europe, researchers have demonstrated a shift in wintering periods and areas, due to food and water resources that change from year to year depending on the weather and temperature.<\/p>

This research has enabled me, through literature searches, to highlight the link between cranes and climate change.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Through various studies and forest monitoring, observations have been made on the need for dead wood in European forests. Indeed, it is essential for the vast majority of forest-dwelling fauna, particularly in its role as a habitat or as a major food resource. The diversity of species will also be beneficial, as it will influence the different groups of species to settle there. An ornithological approach can also be taken and, according to the studies, dead wood in forests is a very important resource for biodiversity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>
